When is Double Ten Day in 2026?

Double Ten Day 2026 is on Saturday, 10 October 2026. Other years: 2027, Sunday, 10 October 2027; 2028, Tuesday, 10 October 2028.

About Double Ten Day

Taiwan marks the Wuchang Uprising of 10 October 1911, which began the revolution that overthrew the Qing dynasty and led to the Republic of China. The day is called Double Ten after its date. The main ceremony is held in front of the Presidential Building in Taipei, with a flag raising, a speech from the president, a military and cultural parade, and sometimes a flypast. In the evening, there are fireworks and concerts and local governments in cities across the island hold their own programmes. Public buildings and homes display the national flag, and the day is a public holiday. Overseas Taiwanese communities hold parades and receptions in their cities.
